I NEED TO GET BECK TO MY CHURCH ROOTS AND FIND A CHURCH HOME!

Ok so I have been here in the wonderful state of Georgia for the past 4 years and this December 27th will make 5 years and still I have not found a church home! I know I know how could I not in the bible belt state. Well I have attended a few churches here and something has turned me off EX: I so loved New Birth and attended the church regularly until one Sunday I and a group of friends was pulled out of the church during praise and worship to be prayed upon by a group of MEN that felt we needed prayer! Fist of all when I am getting my praise and worship on don't come and pull me out because it was place on your heart! It did not seem genuine and in all actuality it seem like they wanted more then to PRAY for us it seemed like they were PREYING on us! Now look at all this mess that is going on with the church now...SMDH! I also attended the openly gay church THE VISIONS, and I love it, but in the back of my mind I am always thinking will it be messy if I joined due to the population SN( I KNOW I WAS WRONG FOR THAT ). Then there is VICTORY which I love why I haven't joined I don't know. U know what let me cut the shit I know why I haven't joined a church there are certain things I do that I am not ready to give up ( SMOKING AND DRINKING) no I don't party every night but I do like a a cocktail and a joint every now and then. I don't think it is right to not give to GOD whole heartedly! If I am going to join a church I want to be IN IT TO WIN IT! I want to be an active member not a some timey! Its not fair to me or GOD! OK...So I finally have my new phone

Okay here is the deal this Saturday my friends boyfriend is throwing him a surprise party...so cute I know.......My other half better take notes ( WELL I DON'T HAVE TO MANY FRIENDS) so it's all good! QUICK THOUGHT!

I know, I know didn't he just log off...yes I did but I had another quick thought and need feedback. Tonight my boyfriend was getting in the shower and I was going to the store like usual I went to give him a kiss bye and tell him I love him and I will be right back....SIDE NOTE: Always before you leave out the door tell who ever your with that you LOVE THEM! AS I walked away he tells me to hurry up with my sexy ass, yes I blushed and walk out the door. As I drove to the store that comment trigger a thought in me am I SEXY? As I have gotten older I learn to appreciate what I have been blessed with but sometimes that little insecure boy creeps in. Am I the only one that feels this way? My Downfall!

Hello my people! tonight is the first night doing my KANYE WEST workout plan, and what i realized is that my downfall is going to be JUNKFOOD UGHHHHHHH! Let me make something clear before I go further I do not eaat junk food all day long it happens in spurts during the day I may crave chocolate and I will have 1-2 small hershey's, sunflower seeds or even tortillia chips. Here is where my downfall comes at night ughhhhhhh ( YEAH I KNOW IF HE SAYS THAT 1 MORE X ), at night I crave for everything from chocolate cake to keylime pie, from laffy taffys to gummi bears and sourpatch kids and oh yeah the worst of it all is SODA the worst of them all! CRAZIES please help me! SIGH !

TAKE A 38 DAY JOURNEY WITH ME!

Ok so I am embarking on the journey to ABS! That's right Ladies and Gents I will be 35 this September and by that day my six pack will be showing. I have enlisted a good friend of mine to help me with this as you can see ( everybody say hello ) to ab roller. Yes he will be there for the next 38 days. So here's how it is going to work starting today Monday thru Saturday I will do the ab roller twice a day 40 in the morning and the same at night, also between my sets with the ab roller I will also include push ups. I will also be posting weekly pics up so we can see the results today i did the first 40 and took a pic of my abs well when I went to post the pics my camera died so I will be posting 2 pics up this weekend . This routine will also go hand and hand with my regular gym days which is WEIGHT LIFTING M-W-F and Cardio for 30 Tues-Thurs along with abs in this day. I will also try to cut out my carb intake ( HARDER THAN A MUG) only brown carbs. I will try my damndest to keep you guys updated. WISH ME LUCK!

Here is the thing though I want to help people in recovery or that is HIV positive to get in shape I want to specialize in that area. So you ask what I stopping me, well I don't feel like I am up to par physically, in order to bring business to me I have to be a walking advertisement right? Well anyway I just wanted o throw it out three in the atmosphere hoping the LORD and others here me.

Ok this is a very sensitive topic I am about to discuss. Why you ask well one it's about family and two the person that made me think of it reads this blog sometimes so yeah yall see my problem. Well anyway here we go. I am firm believer of family and standing by them when times are tough....lose a job..sick..etc but will you pack up and leave your home and a potential temp job that can lead to something bigger and yes it may be a temp job but that is where I started with the company I work for and within a year departments were calling for me to be hired perm. Now please dont take this wrong but how much can you do for someone in the hospital? I would think that they would want me to live my life and visit on weekends when one had the time because if or when they are gone one would still have no job or a place to call their own. I am leaving the subject alone but fellow craziess am I going to hell for feeling this way?

WHERE THE HELL I BEEN?

Well where should I began? Okay So as you guy's know I went to FL MEM. Day weekend, well anyway I come back doing well working enjoying life, and then on 6/13/10 I was plagued with pneumonia I know right GASP! Here's the thing I was fine until that Sunday night I fell asleep around11:30 and was awoken by severe pain in my lungs around 1:30. Every time I would inhale the pain would get worst! so being the worry wort I tend to be I could not go to sleep. All sorts of thoughts ran through my head what if my lungs collapse, what if i stop breathing while I sleep so I stayed up till about 5:30am and fell asleep finally, I woke at 8 and went to the ER. When I arrived in the ER it was no one there PERFECT you know how some ER's can be very Grays Anatomy "BUSY" well anyway I go to triage and they take my pressure guess what it was 67/40 yes they rushed me to the back EKG and everything and did everything to raise my pressure and calm my heart! I was admitted and when I tell you I so hate the hospital yes it is suppose to be a place for healing but it turns out to be the opposite when you are able to walk or have use of your limbs. I am not one to stay down if I am able to walk, run, use my hands I will not stay in the room or the bed all DAMN day and they could not understand! Just because I am sick I will not let it get me down I refuse because If I do I will let the illness defeat me...HELL TO THE NAW...NO MAAM! Well anywho I was released on Friday yeah a whole damn week but when I was released Idid not feel like DAMIAN! I was still in pain and short of breath. I went home and did not rest like I should I know I know this boi just cant keep still! I had to go see MY DADDY for father's day GEESH! Monday comes around I call out of work and stay home finally! Tuesday comes around and I go in LAWD it was murder I still had the sharp pain in my lungs and felt weak ughhhhhhhh! I stayed for the day as much as I wanted to leave I didnt! The next day I decided to go back to ER like I got 300 bucks for these damn co pay's but better safe then sorry, and they did the norm blood and xrays and here is why the pain is still here I have PLEURISY which is when the lining of your lungs are inflamed from pneumonia and it can last from 10-14 days ughhhhhhhhhhhh! I know WOW right and when I say painful I mean it is painful I am doing better today thank GOD cause for a minute I thought I was a gonner well not really because I have a purpose here so he is not ready to call me home! Well crazies there it is in a nut shell I will be posting regular! LOVE YALL!

Okay so I go to the gym 5 days out the week while there 2 senior citizen Men are also there exercising. If I would guess I think they have to be in there late 70 early 80's. Now don't get me wrong I commend them for exercising and taking care of there health, my Mother does the same thing, but the one thing that scares the crap out of me is what if one of them have a heart attack in front of me! OMG! I think I would be scared for life! Every time I see them on a treadmill I just picture them passing out on the floor and needing medical attention! It scares me! I am so excited this will be my FIRST vacation in four years...did you read that, FOUR YEARS! I am excited to the point where I can't even sleep through the night! I am almost completed with my packing. Chloe and my other baby (CAR) is squared away! So lets get to the craziness in my mind! Today on facebook a friend of mines posted a a "RT" Random Thought and here is what it said "Why do we "entertain" those who we know deep down is no good for us?" . I commented " U know what I actually can make a list, some do it just to say they did it! some do it to get a bill paid, some do it to get back at others...LAWDDDDD so many reason's not enough space! And I know I have been guilty of it too!" And here is the HATRED the FACEBOOK PATROL WROTE" KEYWORD = ENTERTAINMENT! - IM SURE THATS THE REASON YOU STILL FUK WIT "IM SO PRETTY" EVEN AFTER SHE TALKS BEHIND YA BACK! We as Americans are SPOILED BRATS!

Haiti's population is 9,035,536. Only 15 years and older can read or write. They Have one national Holiday for the year Independence day January 1. In 2008 the minimum wage was 25 cents an hour so, about 2 dollars a day! Two dollars a day is not enough for transportation and two meals. But us we complain about being so tired and we need a day off! We have eleven national holidays 7 for which we get a free pass to have a day off, and lets not count the time we accumulate from our places of employment! Imagine living in Haiti making two dollars a day! In America the minimum wage ranges from 6.25-8.25 an hour depending on the state you live in. And we still complain it's not enough! If I was to make 8.25 an hour that is roughly 660.00 for 2 weeks. In the area I live in you can rent an one bedroom apartment for 350.00 yet an still we complain!

I have some more facts for you that will make you drop your jaw! Let's move on to South Africa. In South Africa there is no health care for the 5.5 million people that are living with the AIDS virus. There is about 10000 deaths a day due AIDS, but in the good US of A there is no such thing as not having health care as long as we have a Government that assist people living with AIDS. Did you know that our government offers a program that assist people with AIDS. The program pays rent and gives monthly food stamps all while sitting at home. Do we take advantage? NO! We sit at home a complain! Why are we so ungrateful? Why do we complain about the small things, when compared to other countries we are living like KINGS AND QUEENS. YES I AM GUILTY OF COMPLAINING TOO, but as I became older I learned
to appreciate the job that keeps a roof over my head, food on my table and clothes on my back. Today I am learning to appreciate my Government that assist people with the deadly disease called AIDS, or that allows me to retire with a pension. There are so many FREE programs out here, but do we take advantage no....we just sit on our tails and do nothing! AMERICA WE NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER!

Okay so since I started blogging there are a few things that I realized. 1. When I am out and about and want to post something I seen or something that is on my mind I can't! Why you ask, well I am still stuck with my old trusty MOTO Q that does not upload pics or send.....can we say frustrating! But here is where it gets more nerve wrecking my cell phone provider is sprint they have descent phones but not the best! As a loyal SPRINT customer I get 75-150.00 dollars off a new phone and oh yeah I have to sign up for a new 2 year contract ( BOY THEY SURE KNOW HOW TO GET YA). WOOPTY DOO.....the phones cost more then I pay for rent! I might have to bite the bullet and just pay 400-500 dollars for the new HTC EVO out 6/4/10!

FACEBOOK FRIEND OR FOE?

I'm sure I am not the only one that does it! You know while sitting in a doctor's office or waiting on line log on to facebook! We log in change our status or view our friends status. But for some reason in the recent months facebook has become my foe! I have lost 2 very dear friendships over facebook! Why you ask? Well when facebook was created it was a way for you too connect with old friends or flames. It was a place for networking and socializing. But then it became something else! It became a place to air your dirty laundry, a place where you can curse out someone and the world knows why your mad and who you are mad with. A place where you can put your baby's daddy on blast for not taking care of his kids! But why must we do this? Is it to get confirmation from the 1000 so called friends we have but really on speak to 10! Whatever happen to communicating and talking to one another to air out the problem. Why put your baby daddy on blast when you was the one who decided to sleep with him! SO NOW HE IS A DEADBEAT!

Oh yeah and lets not forget the FB gangsters, you know the ones that want to jump on the bandwagon of the person that puts you on blast. You know the ones that patrols the post you comment on so they can have something to say about you or in reference to you! Yes fellow crazies I have been through it all. I even had to go as far as getting my number changed, but what is even more funny the person sent me an email via facebook. Yeah over the last few months I became the enemy to some.

I began to feel like the pretty girl in high school, you know the one's that the fat and ugly girls didn't like for some dumb reason or another! When I first became a member of facebook I loved it! I love the fact that I can connect with my friends that were still in new york, or my family members that I only get to see at family reunions. From time to time when I go on facebook it sadends me to see my old friends picture......it makes me think where would we be if facebook wasn't in the picture! With this being said Yes I am still a facebook users. Sometimes I think I need facebook rehab, But when I post I only post positive energy or words of wisdom. You know putting the postive energy out there so it can come back to me!

Well Look Who is Hiring.......TALX CORP!

Wow look isn't this ironic! Talx Corp a provider of workforce solutions you know the company that helps major companies (Walmart on down to AT&T) prevent their fired employees from getting unemployment benefits! When workers are denied benefits the company pays less taxes to the countries unemployment fund. Most companies do not like this process, so this is where TALX comes in at to do the DIRTY job! In A recent NY Times Article a mentally disabled man was fired from his job as night janitor in a New Hampshire Walmart. TALX stalled for 3 months before the poor guy would get a hearing. Benefits was granted to the man, but TALX appealed, claiming that Walmart requested to testify by phone but was not allowed. WALMART NEVER REQUESTED IT! Would you want to work for this type of company?????????????? NO MA'AM!

I can not work for a company that denies benefits to people that paid taxes and worked hard for these benefits! Is it the employee's fault that a company can not keep control of there finances? Yes there are some workers who don't deserve benefits, but the 90% that do why should they suffer. In this day in age no one( WELL NOT NO ONE I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GET FIRED TO GET UNEMPLOYMENT...SMDH) really is trying to get fired or let go especially when benefits are involved. It appears to be harder to get unemployment benefits then it is to keep your JOB! Which would you rather do work or get stuck with no job or benefits! To the ones out there who think collecting unemployment is better....GROW THE HELL UP....THEY RUN OUT! Um I wonder what TALX does regarding approving for there benefits? Do they hire an outside company to do there dirty work???????????????????????

SWITCHING UP MY WORK OUT!

So I have been going to the gym off and on for over a year! Due to medical reason there were times that I had to take off, and also due to a bad break up ( THAT IS A WHOLE NOTHER STORY). But for the last 3 months I have been going reguarly 5 days a week M-T I lift W-cardio an abs TH-F Lift..... This is getting boring! So today as my bestfriend google and I searched I stumbled on " German Volume Training" in the streets it is called "JAIL HOUSE TRAINING".
German Volume training is doing 10 sets of 10 reps with half the weight you would normally use on your regular lifting day! This Program is for 6 weeks. I will keep you guys updated on my progress and soreness....WISH ME LUCK!

MEDICAL MINUTE: LUPUS

So since the blog is about everything I decided to include a " Medical Minute" we as young African Americans and yes some Caucasians tend to disregard our own health when we live in the United States! Imagine living in Hatiti or Africa were there is no healthcare or no health screening for that matter! So below is the first MEDCAL MINUTE: LUPUS, my mother has been plagued with this disease for over 15 years! The information is taken from The Lupus Foundation:

What is Lupus
Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). Chronic means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years. In lupus, something goes wrong with your immune system, which is the part of the body that fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs ("foreign invaders," like the flu). Normally our immune system produces proteins called antibodies that protect the body from these invaders. Autoimmune means your immune system cannot tell the difference between these foreign invaders and your body’s healthy tissues ("auto" means "self") and creates autoantibodies that attack and destroy healthy tissue. These autoantibodies cause inflammation, pain, and damage in various parts of the body.

What are the Symptoms of Lupus
Because lupus can affect so many different organs, a wide range of symptoms can occur. These symptoms may come and go, and different symptoms may appear at different times during the course of the disease.
The most common symptoms of lupus, which are the same for females and males, are:
extreme fatigue (tiredness)
headaches
painful or swollen joints
fever
anemia (low numbers of red blood cells or hemoglobin, or low total blood volume)
swelling (edema) in feet, legs, hands, and/or around eyes
pain in chest on deep breathing (pleurisy)
butterfly-shaped rash across cheeks and nose
sun- or light-sensitivity (photosensitivity)
hair loss
abnormal blood clotting
fingers turning white and/or blue when cold (Raynaud’s phenomenon)
mouth or nose ulcers

Treatments for Lupus
Because the symptoms of lupus vary from one person to another, the treatment of the disease is tailored to the specific problems that arise in each person. In many cases, the best approach to treating your lupus is with a health care team.
Today, doctors are using a wide variety of medicines to treat lupus -- ranging in strength from mild to extremely strong. It is not unusual for the prescribed medications to change during a person’s lifetime with lupus. However, it can take months, and sometimes years, before your health care team finds just the right combination of medicines to keep your lupus symptoms under control.
There are many categories of drugs for the treatment of lupus. Of all these drugs, only a few are approved specifically for lupus by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA): corticosteroids, including prednisone, prednisolone, methylprednisolone, and hydrocortisone; the antimalarial, hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil®); and aspirin. However, many medications are used to treat the symptoms of lupus.
People with lupus are generally treated by a rheumatologist, a doctor who specializes in diseases of the joints and muscles. If lupus has caused damage to a particular organ, other specialists will be consulted as well, such as a dermatologist for cutaneous lupus (skin disease), a cardiologist for heart disease, a nephrologist for kidney disease, a neurologist for brain and nervous system disease, or a gastroenterologist for gastrointestinal tract disease. An obstetrician who specializes in high-risk pregnancies will be needed when a woman with lupus is considering a pregnancy.
Once you have been diagnosed with lupus, your doctor will develop a treatment plan based on your age, symptoms, general health, and lifestyle. The goals of any treatment plan are to:
reduce inflammation caused by lupus
suppress your overactive immune system
prevent flares, and treat them when they occur
control symptoms like joint pain and fatigue
minimize damage to organs
People with lupus often require other drugs for the treatment of conditions commonly seen with the disease. Examples of these types of medications are diuretics for fluid retention, antihypertensive drugs for high blood pressure, anticonvulsants for seizure disorders, antibiotics for infections, and bone-strengthening drugs for osteoporosis.
In addition, many medications, whether listed in this on the lupus.org website or not, are not recommended for a woman who is planning a pregnancy, is currently pregnant, or is breast-feeding. Women with lupus should have every pregnancy closely monitored by their health care team, so that the safest decisions can be made about medication use and any other necessary treatments, both before, during, and after the birth.
All medicines must be taken exactly as prescribed! Forgetting to take the medicine, taking medicine in the wrong amounts or dosage, stopping a medicine, or adding dietary supplements without your doctor’s approval will affect how well the drugs work and whether your symptoms of lupus can be brought under control.
Managing lupus is a team effort. And since there often will be several physicians involved in your care, good communication is necessary among members of your health care team.

Okay so on my way to work I was listening to Rickey Smiley's morning show and was kinda shocked to hear the rumor regarding Ms. Gloria James dating one of her son's team mates Delonte West! My thoughts were so what is the big deal? Ms. Gloria raised Lebron to be the best that he is. Lebron is an outstanding player and is MVP in the league so what more can a mother ask for, she did her job! Older men date younger women since the beginning of time....so why can't Ms. James have her fun with a boy toy? Now here is where me being on the fence comes in as I was listening to Rickey's morning show (by the way LOVE YOU GUYS) calls started to come in and a lot of people had valid points. Some viewed it like me and others opinion was if Ms. James wants to date someone younger she can but not in the league! WOW...I thought, but then another caller said the same thing but back it up with this " With the two dating it can cause tension in the locker room" Point well taken..... So fellow Crazies what is your opinion on this?

The Human Centipede - Trailer (2009) HD

So over the weekend due to being strap for cash (SAVING FOR FL TRIP AT THE END OF THE MONTH) I took this time to catch up on a few movies and HUMAN CENTIPEDE being one of them. When I tell you about 10-15 min into the movie my mouth stayed opened till the end! The movie is based out of Germany side note: Is it me or do the freakest movies are always based out of other countries Hostel 1-2, and the Descent. Anway it has the same corney story line like usual 2 females lost in the woods due to a flat tire who happen to stumble across a house. You see where this is going...WRONG take a look at the trailer and see for yourself. All I can say I am glad to have in my DVD collection!

I remember when I was first introduced to hip hop it was the early 80's in my friends basement when record players was still out (CAN YOU IMAGINE RECORD PLAYERS COMING BACK OUT) He had KRS ONE and DJ SCOTT LA ROCK RIP the "BRIDGE IS OVER" I never heard anything like it before! Yes my older brother listened to the Furious Five and Kool Herc, but KRS ONE was not only a teacher and lyrics es but he was the champ of battles. I am from Queens and still rock the BRIDGE IS OVER, the beat was amazing as he rap the chorus......THE BRIDGE IS OVER THE BRIDGE IS OVER and Piano was being played that beat would hit and in comes KRS with that Jamaican accent How could you not love his no matter where u was from!

When I was first introduced to female MC's was on a friday nights when I would listen to 98.7 kiss fm. I was introduced to MC LYTE.....BEAT BITTER! That next day I begged for my father to take me to Jamaica ave to get her tape ( YES TAPE......DAMN I'M OLD) LYTE AS A ROCK! LAWD when I tell you i think I rewind that tape so much that during the first week I was begging my father to take me back to the store to get another! MC LYTE was no joke when it came to MC'ing and battles.....most notable is 10% Dis towards another female MC...ANTONETTE...MS. WHO'S THE BOSS! When Lyte would get on the beat and start with the HOT DAMN HOE! you knew it was on! There was a slew of female MC's that also was not having it...Salt N Pepa, Roxanne Shante, Queen Latifah, Finesse and Synquese, MS.Melody, Monie Love.

I remember when we was able to go to the park parties and dance the night away as the DJ was really DJ'ing no cd's just scratching! The hype man new what his job was! Not like today where the hype man just goes from one side of the stage to the next! I remember back when each block in my neighborhood would have a block party and we would all come together for the love of hip hop and food.......Remember when your school party was an actual party and we would actually dance...The Snake...The Whoop, The James Brown and even the Kid and Play! DAMN I wish I could bring those days back! Unlike today where the kids are not dancing but having SEX on the dance floor! Remember when HIP HOP WAS HIP HOP...DAMN R THOSE DAYS DEAD?

POSITIVE YOUNG AFRICAN AMERICAN ROLE MODEL "RAVEN SYMONE"

Raven Symone born December 10, 1985 in Atlanta GA. In 1989 her parents packed up and moved to New York, where she was introduced to the world as OLIVIA the cute adorable kid from the Cosby show. Raven also played a younger Hallie Berry in the movie based off Alex Haley book "Queen". In 2002 Raven auditioned for Disney's new show "Absolutely Psychics" and was cased as the best friend of the lead, but Raven's character was changed to lead and the show took on a new name "That's so Raven" one of my fav's on Disney!

Not only does MS. SYMONE have TV and Film under her belt she also dabbled in the music world putting out 4 studio albums.

Ms. Symone also won countless awards! From 2004-2008 she won the NAACP awards for outstanding performance in a youth series. In 2009 she was the honoree at the TRUMPET awards for the PINNACLE AWARD.

CLEARING UP MY CREDT.....UGHHHHHHHHH

OK as we all know viewing our credit report is a scary thing! For one we never know what is on them and also it actually shows us what we owe to the world and if we are responsible adults that know how to handle our business! LAWD I have made many of mistakes in my life with my credit. The BIGGEST of them all is my student loan that I am still paying for and never received my degree! CAN WE SAY IDIOT! I know but at the time I was so worried about looking cute and partying I never thought about the future! Now here it is at the age of 34 I want my own home! When I was younger and living in New York the thought of owning my own home was never a thought. Yes my parents owned the home I grew up in, but my thoughts was to live in the city in an apartment. It wasn't until I moved to GA the thought of owning home became appealing! I never seen so many young African Americans owning homes and businesses! So here I am today trying to get a piece of that American Dream of becoming a home owner. So if you see the 6 o'clock news that a crazed man is holding people hostage at one of the credit agency's it's me trying to get my act together!
